I love having all types of students in my classroom, learning alongside one another. I know that the peers that I speak with outside of the classroom tell me how much they learn about themselves and how much their world view changes as a result of being in my classroom.

The major peer learning strategies used in the last decade are; peer or student tutoring, group based discussions or group projects, and student-led classes or online discussions. One of the most common ways to introduce peer learning within the classroom is to give students the reins of the class, if only for brief periods. Classroom peer teaching helps learners since they often find peers to be more approachable than teachers and reinforce the learning of those who are teaching. The Peer Assisted Learning Strategy (PALS) is a class-wide peer-tutoring program that addresses the different learning needs of every student.
